Our Legacy
Founders Berry James, Jr. and Gerard Brown opened Island Furs in October of 1994. Superior customer service and master furrier experience, grew Island Furs to become a premier fur salon and the only African American full service salon in the United States.
In December of 2019, we experienced the loss of our
co-founder Mr. Berry James, Jr.
Berry's legacy will live on as
Island Furs continues to serve our clients and their garments with personal care and professionalism.
